NOTD: Maybelline Lilac Charm

Maybelline's Lilac Charm from the Forever Strong line is one of those colours that really grows on you.  At first, I applied it and thought it was a bit of a 'meh' shade, but 24 hours later I am seriously loving it.

It applies horridly streaky, but the streaks settle down into a smooth finish.  All these pictures are after two coats, finished off with an obligatory coat of Kensington Caviar.  

Colour-wise, I'd say it's a milky lilac that definitely leans blue and is consequently very cool-toned.  It's the perfect day shade and gives nails a really 'finished' look without being overly girly, not that overly girly shades is ever something I avoid!

I can see this speedily becoming a go-to shade for me, it's easy to apply, dries to a good, clean finish and it's got a very grown-up prettiness about it that I'm definitely loving right now.
